Privacy Policy

We know nobody opens a privacy policy for fun. But since you’re here, we’ll make it worth the two minutes. This page tells you what data we collect when you use this site, what we do with it, and what you’re entitled to ask us to do about it. If anything here raises a question, the contact form at the bottom of the site is the right place to send it.

First, a little context: this is an editorial site. We write about gambling brands licensed in the UK. We do not develop gambling products, do not accept deposits, or hold accounts for anyone.

What We Collect and Why

Like any website, this one automatically logs some technical information when you visit – your IP address, which pages you looked at, the time of your visit, and the type of browser you were using. That’s not us being nosy; it’s just how web hosting works. We use it to keep the site secure and to see which content is actually being read. We can’t use it to figure out who you are.

If you use the contact form to get in touch, we collect your name, email address, and whatever you’ve written. We use that to reply to you. Full stop. It doesn’t go on any list, and it doesn’t get shared with anyone outside the people working on this site.

We also use cookies – small files stored on your device when you visit. They help the site function properly and give us anonymised data on how pages are being used. You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings. A few things on the site might display differently if you do, but you’ll still be able to read everything.

Analytics

We use an analytics tool to understand how the site is being used – which pages are getting traffic, roughly where visitors are coming from, how long they spend reading. Everything we see through that tool is aggregated and anonymised. We can’t identify individual visitors from it. The company behind the software handles data on our behalf under a formal agreement, and they’re not allowed to use it for their own purposes.

Who We Share Data With

We don’t sell data. We don’t pass it to advertisers or anyone in the marketing industry. The only third parties that handle any data related to this site are our hosting provider and our analytics provider – and both of them are under contracts that set clear limits on what they can do with it.

If a court or regulatory authority ever required us to hand over specific information, we’d have to do that. We’d tell the person involved if the law allowed us to.

Data Retention

Server logs are cleared after 90 days. Contact form messages are kept for up to 12 months, or deleted sooner once the matter is resolved. Analytics data stays in anonymised, aggregated form indefinitely – there’s no personal information in it, so there’s no fixed deletion window.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act, you have the right to see what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that’s wrong, request that we delete it if we’ve no good reason to keep it, and object to certain types of processing. To do any of that, use the contact form. We’ll get back to you within one calendar month, which is the legal requirement.

Changes to This Policy

We update this page when our practices change or the law makes it necessary. The date below is when it was last reviewed. If you keep using the site after we’ve made changes, that’s taken as acknowledgement that you’ve seen the updated version.
